Returns & Consumer Guarantees Policy


This policy is provided in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and applies to all purchases made from AbsoluteSkin
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under the ACL.

Consumer Guarantees (Faulty or Not as Described)


Under the ACL, products come with guarantees that they will be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and match their description.
If a product:

  • Has a manufacturing fault
  • Is not as described
  • Is unsafe
  • Fails to perform as reasonably expected
    you are entitled to a remedy under the ACL.

Assessment & Remedies
All claims are subject to assessment.
Depending on whether the issue is considered minor or major, the appropriate remedy may include:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Store credit

The type of remedy offered will be determined in accordance with the ACL and the nature of the issue.

Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged, please notify us within 14 days of delivery and provide photographic evidence. Damage claims are assessed on a case-by-case basis and will take into account:

  • The cause of the damage
  • Packaging condition
  • Transit handling
  • Product type and use
    Where damage is confirmed and responsibility is accepted, an appropriate remedy will be offered in line with ACL requirements.
    Damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, or failure to follow product instructions may not be eligible for remedy.

Warranty Claims

Some products are supplied with a manufacturer’s warranty.

Warranty claims are assessed in accordance with the applicable warranty terms and may result in:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Store credit


Warranty remedies do not apply where damage is caused by misuse, unauthorised modification, or use inconsistent with product instructions.

Adverse Skin Reactions

As skin types vary, we recommend performing a patch test before full use.

If you experience an adverse reaction:

  • Discontinue use immediately
  • Notify us within 14 days of purchase
  • Provide clear photographic evidence
  • The product must not be more than 20% used

All adverse reaction claims are assessed by a qualified skin professional and are subject to brand guidelines.
Where a claim is accepted, an appropriate remedy may be offered.

Change of Mind / Incorrect Selection
We do not offer returns for change of mind or incorrect selection unless otherwise approved.

Where approved:

  • Items must be unused, unopened, and in original condition
  • Original packaging must be intact and undamaged
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
  • Approved change-of-mind returns may be eligible for exchange or store credit only.

Exclusions

  • The following items are not eligible for return unless required under the ACL:
  • Opened or used makeup or fragrance products
  • Items damaged through misuse or improper handling
  • Products returned without prior authorisation

Returns received without authorisation may be delayed or declined.

Processing Time
Approved returns are processed within 7–10 business days of receipt and assessment.
You will receive written confirmation once processing is complete.

  • Shipping Costs
  • Original shipping charges are non-transferable
  • Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to a confirmed error by AbsoluteSkin
  • If free shipping was applied, associated shipping costs may be factored into the outcome
