Marine biologists Louise Laing and Austin Laing-Herbert met on the Great Barrier Reef while studying marine biology. After completing their Masters at James Cook University, they spent five years restoring coral reefs in Mauritius and the Seychelles.

In 2016, new research revealed to them that ingredients in conventional chemical sunscreens were harming coral reefs and posing health risks to humans. Determined to create change, they returned to Australia in 2018 and co-founded People4Ocean Sun Care — a sun-care line designed to protect both skin and ocean.

Each People4Ocean formula is crafted with reef-safe, vegan, and natural ingredients, free from skin- and ocean-polluting chemicals. Using eco-certified non-nano zinc oxide and marine-derived antioxidants, their products deliver high-performance UV protection while caring for sensitive skin and marine life.
