Self Tanning Checklist

Pre Tan:
  1. For best results exfoliate prior to tanning to remove any dead skin cells and/or previous tan.
  2. Do not wax or shave at least 24 hours prior to tanning.

Day of Tan:
  1. For quick and easy streak-free application, massage into skin using Sunescapes Tanning Mitt, blending quickly into dry skin with smooth, even strokes.
  2. Apply sparingly to dry areas like ankles, knees and elbows.
  3. Allow to dry for 5-10 minutes before dressing.
  4. Avoid showering, deodorant and contact with water or deodorant for at least 3-4 hours while tan develops.
  5. For a darker colour layer a second application the following day.

Post Tan:
  1. Avoid waxing after your tan as this will remove the tan.
  2. Avoid the use of soaps and body washes that contain the ingredient Sodium Laurel Sulfate. We recommend the use of Sunescape’s Hydrating Shower Gel.
  3. Avoid long hot showers/baths and prolonged swimming to help extend your tan.
  4. Keep your skin well nourished and deeply moisturised by using Sunescape’s Body Butter. Moisturise morning and night to maintain best results from your tan.
