The smaller size of low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid penetrates deeper into the skin to where it is most needed to hydrate from the inside, promote natural rehydration and plump fine lines. 
The larger size of high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid forms a protective barrier on the surface of the skin to hydrate from the outside and prevent transepidermal water loss.
Carnosine
